Arsenal Agree To Transfer This Championship Club Goalkeeper

London

Arsenal continue to move in the transfer market this summer. The Gunners are one step away from getting their wanted goalkeeper who plays in the Championship, Aaron Ramsdale.

Ramsdale failed to defend Sheffield United from the brink of relegation last season. Having conceded 63 goals, Ramsdale again had the misfortune of having to go down caste two seasons in a row.

Before joining Sheffield, Ramsdale was also relegated in the 2019/2020 season with Bournemouth. In this season alone, Ramsdale failed to bring Sheffield to win in the first two games, with one draw and one loss.

However, Ramsdale’s status as England’s third goalkeeper at Euro 2020 apparently captivated Arsenal. Arsenal have even made two offers to Sheffield but have always been rejected.

Arsenal who have not given up are finally able to melt Sheffield’s heart to release Ramsdale. Quoted by The Athletic, Arsenal finally agreed on a transfer worth 24 million pounds or IDR 474 billion. Later there will be an additional bonus of around 6 million pounds.

This amount is far from Sheffield’s initial request of 40 million pounds. Sheffield also couldn’t resist Ramsdale’s desire to keep playing in the Premier League, let alone at a club as big as Arsenal.

Ramsdale was already out of Sheffield’s 4-0 defeat by West Bromwich Albion and will soon be flying to London to sort out his move.

Arsenal did not want to waste time to complete the transfer of Ramsdale. Because they plan to register him so that he can be fielded in the match against Chelsea on Sunday. Ramsdale is projected to fight for the position of first goalkeeper with Bernd Leno.

Besides Aaron Ramsdale, Martin Odegaard will also formalize his move at the same time after reaching an agreement with Real Madrid.
