Arrest and Indictment of a Man in His 30s Due to Installing and Filming ‘Internet Router Camouflage’ Cameras in Lodging Establishments.

A man in his 30s was put on trial for illegally filming guests by installing cameras disguised as internet routers at lodging establishments across the country.

The Incheon District Prosecutor’s Office handed over a man in his 30s to trial in custody on charges of illegally filming guests’ bodies at a lodging establishment.

The man is accused of visiting 14 accommodations across the country, including Seoul Gangnam, Incheon, Busan and Daegu, installing 20 cameras in all rooms and secretly filming guests 70 times.

As a result of the police investigation, it was revealed that the man installed a camera disguised as an internet router in the room.

The police, who were dispatched after receiving a report from the lodging staff, took all of the equipment.

An additional 15 cameras purchased for illegal filming were found in the man’s house.

Earlier, in a police investigation, it is known that the man admitted to all charges, saying, “I did this out of curiosity.”
