Arrascaeta will be on the field this Tuesday (07), in a dispute between Flamengo and Al Hilal (SAU)
Not long for the Flamengo start to walk the path in search of the second title of the Club World Cup. This Tuesday (07), Rubro-Negro faces Al Hilal (SAU), in the semifinal of the intercontinental tournament. Considered one of the most important challenges of Fla in the season, Arrascaeta revealed how the pubalgia recovery process was, which he suffered since the end of last year. The midfielder also declared that, at times like this, athletes have to give more than usual.
— To reset and stay well, I had to give my mind and body time to rest and not work at all on vacation. I really needed it because in the last few months I’ve suffered a lot from it. It got to the point where I couldn’t even kick the ball at times -, declared Arrascaeta, before adding:
— But we know that there are times when, even so, we have to give a little more than we can. I knew at the beginning of the year I was going to suffer more physically because I’m only now finding my best. It’s preparing me to give my best -, revealed the midfielder, in an interview with GE.
Since September 2019, Arrascaeta has been taking care of pubalgia in the groin, due to wear and tear from the number of games played last season. Now recovered, the midfielder has the second opportunity to win the Club World Cup for Flamengo. The opponent later on was the same as Mais Querido faced in the semifinal of the tournament in 2019, and Rubro-Negro won the comeback 3-1.
Arrascaeta is one of the main pieces available to Vítor Pereira to win the classification for the intercontinental championship decision. The tendency is for the number 14 to start among the starters, alongside the other components of the lethal attack quartet, with Gabi, Pedro and Everton Ribeiro.
In a duel valid for the semi-final of the Club World Cup, Flamengo and Al Hilal face each other this Tuesday (07), at 4 pm (Brasília time), at Ibn Batouta Stadium, in the city of Tangier, Morocco. The game will be broadcast by Rede Globo, on open channel, and SporTV, on cable TV. However, Coluna do Fla brings the most red-black broadcast on the internet, with the ‘angry’ voice of Rafa Penido, no Youtube.
