Arnhem mayor: don’t beep about missing fireworks | Inland

Police have arrested seven suspects so far. Inhabitants of Geitenkamp are angry that the police are not intervening harder. The police would also not have responded to reports from concerned local residents on Sunday evening.

Marcouch paid a visit to the district on Monday morning. He has promised to find out what happened to the reports on Sunday evening. “Because I really want foolish arrow throwers to be arrested,” he writes. He insists on reports of the purchase and storage of illegal fireworks, “because it saves human lives.”

Unrest

The unrest in the district was caused by the reaction of mainly young people to the fireworks ban, which the cabinet announced this month for the coming turn of the year. The purpose of this prohibition is to prevent the extra burden of the already heavily burdened care during the turn of the year. The youth from Arnhem throws heavy bangers such as cobras and nitrates and fires flares hissing over the road surface. There are also fires being started here and there.
