Arminia Bielefeld: Clauss goes free – return to France

Report shared on Twitter

Jonathan Clauss (photo) made the leap into excellence at the age of 27 – but not with Arminia Bielefeld. According to information from the French sports newspaper “L’Équipe”, the right winger is switching to Ligue 1 promoted RC Lens.

Clauss’s contract with Arminia expires at the end of the season, so Bielefeld will not be paid a transfer fee. The Frenchman will receive a contract for “Sang et Or” until June 30, 2023. The player himself retweeted the report of “L’Équipe” on his Twitter account, which should speak for an already established move to RC Lens – meanwhile he removed the post. Advisor Vivien André even confirmed the report to the “kicker”, but a report from the clubs is still pending.
