A man identified as **Ryan Louis Mosqueda**, 27, is dead after opening fire at a border patrol building in McAllen, Texas, early this morning. The incident led to airport delays and left one police officer injured.

According to police reports, **Mosqueda** entered the building wielding a long gun and discharged it multiple times before officers fatally shot him. The motive for the attack remains unknown.
The McAllen Police Department has indicated that **Mosqueda**’s last known address was in Michigan, though he also had ties to Weslaco, Texas.
Weapons Found
During a press conference, the McAllen Police Chief stated that a search of **Mosqueda**’s vehicle revealed additional weapons, including another assault rifle.
No federal officers sustained injuries during the shooting that unfolded before 6:00 a.m. local time. However, McAllen police officer **Ismael García** was wounded in the knee and is currently receiving hospital treatment.
