Employees of video game companies no longer hesitate to express themselves on behavior displaced that can occur in the workplace. And today is the Guardian who publishes another investigation which targets another major studio: Rocksteady. A simple seminar in response to the accusations
Rocksteady faces heavy accusations. In 2018, around ten employees contacted company executives to warn them of several behaviors toxic within society. The latter reported several events, such as sexist exchanges, hateful towards transgender people, sexual allusions and other behaviors displaced…
Employees explain, in 2020, that nothing has changed despite this letter to the leaders of Rocksteady. Worse still, some do not hesitate to remain silent for fear of being dismissed or that their names be removed from the credits of a game.
One of the signatories of the letter sent to the leaders of Rocksteady explains that the latter, in response, simply organized a seminar of one hour. All the employees had to do was sign.
In a response to The Guardian, Rockstead spoke about the matter: “ In 2018, we received a letter from employees sharing worries, and we responded immediately to resolve these concerns. For the past two years, we’ve listened to and learned from our employees, making everyone feel surrounded. In 2020, we have even more the will to demonstrate inclusiveness and are ready to defend our staff« .
As for the famous signatory mentioned above, the latter explains that, whatever, ” how much you say you defend the diversity, if you play ostrich, sooner or later we’ll find out« .
