Argentine site reveals Maradona’s will
reveal Location An Argentine named “TyC Sports” Thursday, that soccer legend Diego Maradona asked his family to embalm him upon his death, in a letter he wrote several months ago.
The site stated that Maradona, who was feared by the idea of death, signed a letter in which he asked his family that his body be preserved and embalmed, months before his death.
The same website added: “The (Maradona) family has not clarified the matter of embalming it yet, and it is expected that this will be revealed in the coming hours, when they transfer it to the Cemetery of the Garden de Bella Vista.”
It is worth noting that if Maradona’s wish is fulfilled, he will be among 4 figures who have been embalmed in the history of Argentina, after the former Argentine president and his wife, and a politician and a military man who helped in the country’s independence.
The Argentine foot legend “Maradona” passed away last Wednesday, succumbing to a heart attack at the age of 60, and his body was transported to Casa Rosada, the headquarters of the Argentine Federal Government.
