Buenos Aires – (dpa):
The Argentine Football Association announced today, Tuesday, the non-completion of all competitions of the current season, including the First Division, which was suspended since mid-March last due to the outbreak of the infection with the virus “Corona” emerging.

The next football season is scheduled to start in Argentina in January 2021, knowing that there will be no ups or downs for the first division before 2022.

With this, Argentine soccer legend Diego Maradona will be among the beneficiaries of this decision, as he was threatened with relegation with his team, Jimnasia La Plata, who trained him this season.

The teams qualifying for the two continental clubs, namely the Copa Libertadores and the South American Clubs Cup (Sud Americana) will be decided next season according to the arrangement of the Argentine league table before stopping.
