Argentina’s win over Panama in a friendly match owed to Messi’s leadership – Al-Shorouk

The Argentine national team defeated its counterpart, Panama, with two goals without a response, in the friendly match that was held at the Monumental Stadium today, Friday, as part of the teams’ preparations for the upcoming international competitions.

The Argentine national team dominated the course of the game in most of the first half, but the brilliance of goalkeeper Jose Guerra prevented them from scoring the goal of progress, so that the half ended in a goalless draw.

In the second half, Thiago Almada scored the goal for the Tango team in the 78th minute, before adding the second goal, Lionel Messi, in the 88th minute, to end the match with Argentina winning 2-0.

The Argentine national team is scheduled to face its counterpart, Curaçao, at Almodon Fred Stadium, next Tuesday, in the last friendly for the Tango national team during the March international break.
