Argentina receives first batch of Russian Sputnik vaccine against Coro

Buenos Aires – (DPA):

Argentina received today, Thursday, the first batch of 300,000 doses of the “Sputnik” vaccine against the emerging corona virus that causes (Covid-19) from Russia.

The government said in a statement carried by Bloomberg News that it plans to vaccinate frontline workers to combat the deadly virus.

Argentina expects to receive 20 million doses of the Sputnik vaccine between January and February next, with the possibility of receiving an additional 5 million doses in March.

Yesterday, Wednesday, the Argentine government authorized the emergency use of the “Sputnik V” vaccine.

And the Argentine government announced earlier this month that President Alberto Fernandez will be the first to be vaccinated, according to Bloomberg.

Fernandez said on the tenth of this month that the government plans to vaccinate about ten million Argentines before next March, when his government celebrates the first anniversary of its assumption of the ruling ceremony in the country.
