Are You Visiting or Accompanying a Patient?

You come as a visitor or companion of a patient

You are ill, you have flu or cold symptoms, such as coughing, sneezing, sore throat or a runny nose.

We ask you not to come to Radboudumc if your visit is not necessary.
If your visit to Radboudumc is necessary, we ask you to wear a face mask. You can get these at the entrances.

Guiding your loved one from a distance

We understand that it is difficult if you cannot go to an appointment with your loved one due to flu or cold complaints. Or if your loved one cannot receive visitors. Fortunately, there are also other options for remotely guiding your loved one.

At appointments

  • As a patient, you can also involve your loved one in an appointment by telephone. It is always possible to call a partner, family member or friend and put them on loudspeaker during your appointment. This way your loved one can listen in and also say or ask something.

  • If you want, you can record the conversation with your mobile phone, so that you can listen back together later.

  • You can also ask your healthcare provider to make an audio recording of the conversation.

At recordings

  • A tablet is available in every department. If you don’t have a mobile phone or tablet yourself, you can use it to stay in touch with your loved ones. Our employees are happy to help you.
