Architectural critic Michael Sorkin died at Covid-19

“I have always been drawn to architecture and urban planning,” said Michael Sorkin in an interview a few years ago, “because both maintain a certain intimacy with the social component, namely with all of us as people.” It is a malevolence of fate that this social and spatial proximity of Sorkin has now been doomed. One of the most famous and important architectural critics in the world died on Thursday of the aftermath of Covid-19 in New York at the age of 71.
