Franco Morbidelli ruled the third free practice session MotoGP Aragon 2020. The Italian rider was superior to Cal Crutchlow and Pol Espargaro.
At the Motorland Aragon Circuit, Saturday (17/10), the FP3 session starts at 15.55 WIB. Eight minutes walk, Rider Petronas Yamaha SRT Fabio Quartararo led with a record time of 1 minute 49,810 seconds.
But Quartararo’s teammate, Franco Morbidelli, managed to overtake the record with 1 minute 49.797 seconds.
Quartararo again overtook the lead with 1 minute 49.194 seconds, but soon the LCR Honda rider Takaaki Nakagami managed to record a time of 1 minute 49.172 seconds.
15 minutes passed, Quartararo overtook Nakagami’s time, with a score of 1 minute 49.106 seconds.
The copying continues. When the training session left 18 minutes, Nakagami was the fastest again with 1 minute 48.406 seconds. Meanwhile, Andrea Dovizioso crash at the sixth corner.
Morbidelli then managed to overtake Nakagami with a record time of 1 minute 47.859 seconds.
Quartararo experienced a crash when the training session left 9 minutes. He fell at Turn 14, and was seen groaning in pain until he had to be stretched by medics. Meanwhile, with 5 minutes remaining, Dovizioso returned to the track.
Until practice is over, Morbidelli’s time cannot be shifted. He remains the fastest. Behind him are Cal Crutchlow (LCR Honda) and Pol Espargaro (Red Bull KTM). Dovizioso himself is only in 11th place.
