The Arabian coalition, led by Saudi Arabia, announced the beginning of a large-scale military operation on all fronts, aimed at liberating part of Yemen’s territory, which is controlled by the Yemeni movement Ansar Allah (Houthis). This was announced by the official representative of the alliance, Colonel Turki al-Maliki, writes TASS.
“We are starting a campaign to liberate Yemen on all fronts and directions,” he said.
The coalition spokesman added that the military operation is being carried out “to restore security in Yemen.”
He claims that the supporters of Ansar Allah “undermine the process of political settlement of the conflict in the country and refuse to dialogue.”
The coalition also has evidence of Iranian military support for the Houthis, Al-Maliki added.
Earlier it became known that the government troops of Yemen recaptured the oil region from the Houthis.
