Apple Shares iPhone Special For Hackers

Apple want hackers to actively pursue security holes in the operating system iPhone. Even to support hackerApple gives a special iPhone for free in a program called the Apple Security Research Device Program.

“As part of Apple’s commitment to security, this program is designed to help improve security for all iOS users, bring more research to the iPhone, and improve efficiency for those who have worked on iOS security,” Apple said.

“This program includes an iPhone exclusively dedicated to security research, with unique and unique code execution,” they added.

As quoted detikINET from Mirror, the iPhone is called Apple pre-jailbroken so hackers can run whatever tool they have chosen.

On the other hand, the iPhone can still be operated as an iPhone in general, thus allowing hackers to do various scenarios according to what can happen in real-world usage.

But not all hackers have the right to get the iPhone. In order to qualify for this program, hackers must be members of the existing Apple Developer Program and have a track record that they have proven successful in finding loopholes in iOS or other modern operating systems.

Apple also warned that this particular iPhone is very sensitive and should not be used by just anyone. In addition, hackers who obtain it may not use it as a personal smartphone but only intended for the sake of looking for security holes.

Confidentiality is also a main condition. Hackers must not expose any weaknesses they find to the public before being corrected by Apple or an approved third party.
