Jakarta (ANTARA) – Apple will announce four new iPhones later this year, one of which will reportedly be called the “iPhone 12 mini.”
The nickname “mini” is new to the iPhone, while Apple has previously called its products by that name, such as the iPod mini, iPad mini and Mac mini.
Quoted from The Verge, Sunday, the four new iPhones will be named iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
The iPhone 12 mini will carry a 5.4-inch screen, the iPhone 12 will be equipped with a 6.1-inch screen just like the iPhone 11 but with higher specifications

Meanwhile, the iPhone 12 Pro will carry a 6.1-inch screen, but with higher specifications than the iPhone 12, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max will have a 6.7-inch screen, bigger than the iPhone 11 Pro Max which has a 6.5-inch screen.
The iPhone SE 2020 is currently the smallest Apple phone with a 4.7-inch screen, replacing its predecessor, the first generation iPhone SE, which measures 4 inches.
The iPhone 12 mini will have the bigger screen of the two SE models, but is reportedly thinner than the second generation SE due to the thinner bezels.
Meanwhile, the Mac Rumors report states that Apple will present its newest cellphone on October 13. This is known from the leak of an employee of a mobile operator in England.
Apple itself has not confirmed this. However, the tech monster usually holds events on Tuesday, such as at this month’s Apple Event which was held on Tuesday, September 15.
Following the announcement on October 13, Apple will reportedly open pre-orders on October 16, and the device will launch on October 23.
