Apple is discontinuing education platform iTunes U and will no longer update iBooks Author, an app for creating e-books. Apple has announced that. ITunes U content will be available through Apple Podcasts and Books.

IBooks Author users can proceed to the Pages app, Apple reports on a page that Apple follower Rene Ritchie found out. The app has existed since 2012 and received its last update in 2018, but will no longer receive new updates, although the app will continue to work according to the terms.

Education platform iTunes U will completely stop. It happens at the end of 2021. The service has been in existence for more than ten years and is used, among other things, for schools to compile lessons. Private users can take publicly available classes through the app, including audio and video. For schools and students, the apps are Classroom and Schoolwork, the public lessons can be followed in, among others, Apple Podcasts and Books.
