Independent phone repairers in 32 European countries, including the Netherlands, are now also allowed to use genuine Apple parts to repair iPhones. That makes Apple announced Wednesday.
For a long time, only repairers associated with Apple received the original iPhone parts.
Last year, the company decided to also provide independent repairers with the original parts in the United States. They also received manuals and tools for iPhone repairs.
In the US, there are now 140 companies with a total of seven hundred stores that have registered for this.
Apple has now decided to extend this policy to 32 European countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain and the United Kingdom, and Canada.
The stores that sign up will get the parts, according to Apple, at the same price as the Apple-related stores.
