Apple is fighting with leaksters of its equipment

It seems that the sources of information such as Internet leakers are slowly starting to dry up – their activities seem to be unpleasant to Apple, which sends warnings to very famous and reliable informants, probably with one goal in mind: to limit their activities. And that’s probably just the beginning.

Let’s be honest – many leaksters often feed us with untested and unconfirmed information, but there are also many characters who can boast of really specific news about upcoming devices. A particularly hot topic is, of course, Apple, which has recently been regularly deciphered by reports from anonymous whistleblowers.

Leaksters don’t like Apple’s taste. The pursuit of informants begins

However, it seems that the Cupertino company decided to tackle this topic, which is suggested by the latest news from Asia (and not only). The reason for this is a letter that Apple received from Kang – one of the most famous Chinese leaksters dealing with the subject of this company, which according to the AppleTrack ranking is one of the trustworthy people, because the leaks published by him on the Weibo website prove to be as high as 97.1%, which is undoubtedly a great result.

It was he who was one of the first to announce plans to release four models from the iPhone 12 family, which did not escape the attention of the representatives of the giant from Cupertino. In the message he received from a law firm, you can read that the pre-release information may be used by competitors, and there is also a chance that it will mislead people who are to purchase the equipment.

Perhaps this intervention would not have happened had it not been for the fact that Kang is not an uncritical user of Apple smartphones – in the attachment to the letter there are screenshots showing posts in which he complains about the problems caused by the devices produced by the giant from Cupertino.

Kang, of course, immediately referred to the subject by stating unequivocally that he had never signed an NDA (embargo secrecy agreement), had not published undisclosed photos and was not making money from his activities.

Kang is not supposed to be the only one – leaksters are under censorship

However, it is possible that a similar letter went to other people as well, which deal with the disclosure of pre-release information – informed, for example, another well-known leakster, Ben Geskin, and unofficial confirmation was also received by the aforementioned AppleTrack service.

So it seems that Apple is starting to ensure that the vast majority of information about new devices appears only at the premiere event – so far we have repeatedly witnessed situations in which the press conference was only a confirmation of the revelations that previously hit the network.

It is possible that Apple will achieve its goal by sending a letter of warning. Probably Kang will resign from publishing these revelations, not wanting to risk a court battle with a technological giant, which is doomed to failure in advance. The army of lawyers from the Cupertino concern will certainly try to make the company do its own thing.

Is this the twilight of pre-release information from Apple? Certainly not, but it can be expected that over the next few years, the next sources with unofficial information will, unfortunately, dry up …
