It’s official. Presented in the year 2014, iCloud Documents and Data It was a system that was in charge of automatically synchronizing all the data from multiple applications and making them available to a wide range of devices. Now from Apple it has been announced that the service was discontinued, but now part of iCloud Drive.
As reported from the 9TO5Mac portal, on its support page, the famous technology company explains that iCloud Documents and Data no longer exists:
“iCloud Documents and Data, our old document sync service, has been discontinued and replaced by iCloud Drive. If you used iCloud Documents and Data, your account was migrated to iCloud Drive”, they reported.

Apple had previously announced that they were going to suspend the service and now iCloud Drive es the space where your users must go to find all their documents and data.
Also, as the company explains, “iCloud Drive allows you to easily store, access and share files with friends and family. The documents you store in iCloud Drive stay up to date on all your devices and you can access them from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC”.
The change comes a month before Apple launches the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2022) next Monday, June 6. While they revealed a conglomerate of new features during the iOS 15 cycle, more iCloud news could be in the works.
