Apex Legends will be ‘more than a battle royale’ according to producer

Apex Legends game producer Chad Grenier says Apex Legends is “likely to grow into something more than a battle royale game.”

In an interview with Eurogamer Grenier announced that the team is already planning content through in-game Season 12. In addition, the game could become more than a Battle Royale in the future.

“Now we have a pure battle royale game. I think this will change in the future. After all, we are already having conversations in which we ask the question how we should push the boundaries.
We have this list of legends that people love – how else can we use them? I think if you look into the future, you will see that the game is becoming more than just a battle royale game. So we have all these LTMs and other ways to play and I think that’s a really good starting point. ”

We are curious if they will process this into a PvP mode or more in the trend of the PvE modes that they already introduced in Season 5. In the same interview, the producer also indicates that the new Olympus map is inspired by concepts from Titanfall 3.

Apex Legends is coming to Steam the day after tomorrow and won’t start until sometime next year coming to Nintendo Switch.
