Apex Legends Season 27: “Amped” Launches November 4th with Major Updates
Apex Legends’ next season, “Amped,” arrives November 4th at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 5pm GMT, bringing a considerable rework of Olympus, meaningful movement changes, adn a host of weapon and Legend adjustments.The update, detailed in early patch notes, aims to revitalize the popular map and introduce a faster-paced, more dynamic gameplay experience.
The “Amped” season introduces the “Supersonic” event running from November 18th to December 16th, featuring new unlockable content including a Mythic R-99 that fires Valkyrie’s Missile Swarm after building heat, alongside upgrades like “Burning Rubber” (fire trails) and “extra Zippy” (shield and speed boosts). Players can earn Boost during the event to unlock Supersonic Event Packs containing Legendary skins for Horizon, Crypto, mirage, Catalyst, and more, plus the Death Duet Universal Melee set.
Olympus Rework & Movement Updates:
Olympus is undergoing a significant overhaul with the addition of more ziplines and overall map updates.Details on the specific changes to the map’s layout are forthcoming, but Respawn has emphasized a focus on increased flow and tactical opportunities. Alongside the map rework, players will experience changes to movement, though specific details were not immediately available.
Weapon Adjustments:
The Alternator receives a powerful new attachment: the Double Tap Hop-Up. Weapons Designer Casey O’Brien described it as “incredibly deadly at close range,and most importantly,incredibly fun,” as it allows both barrels to fire simultaneously,delivering devastating close-range bursts.
Battle Pass Details:
The “Amped” battle Pass offers a tiered reward system with both Premium and Ultimate options. The Split 1 Premium Pass includes Legendary skins for Valkyrie and Wattson,a Spitfire Legendary weapon skin,10 Exotic Shards,and a Reactive Sentinel at Tier 60. The Split 1 Ultimate Pass builds upon the Premium rewards with instant bonuses like 1200 Crafting Metals and 8 Apex Packs. The Split 1 Ultimate+ tier adds 10 Battle Pass levels, 10 Exotic Shards, and unlocks all Legends for Split 1 owners, alongside exclusive skin variants for Valkyrie and Wattson.
