The team blazed across the track in 45.22 seconds, showcasing a blend of seasoned experience and emerging talent. The championships, held at Sagamihara Gion Stadium from May 8-11, also saw Aogaku athletes sweep the podium in the women’s 100m.
Relay Victory: A Testament to Teamwork
Sato, Kurahashi, Sugimoto, and Narita of Aogaku University, victorious in the 4x100m relay at the Kanto Intercollegiate Championships.
The winning relay team comprised Narita akari, Sugimoto kokoro, Kurahashi miho, and Sato Aoi Yu. Each member played a crucial role in securing the victory.
- Narita Akari (Leg 1): Set the stage with a composed start.
I was able to get off to the start and pass it to the second run,”

The Rise of Sugimoto Kokoro
Sugimoto’s victory in the 100m is notably noteworthy,given that she is a frist-year student. She had considered retiring from track and field after high school. Though, witnessing Aogaku University compete in the Japan Intercollegiate Championships and the Japan Championship relay changed her mind.
