Contrary to initial expectations, the COVID-19 pandemic did not worsen anxiety levels in France, according to researchers. While early studies indicated a surge in anxiety during the pandemic’s onset,the current findings suggest these heightened feelings may have been temporary.
This contrasts with depressive episodes,which researchers note appear to have seen a more sustained negative impact from the pandemic.
