In a conversation with ANSA he talks about the program: “The studio is in Milan in via Mecenate, but I strongly wanted the images – thanks to the windows we had built – to be live footage, thanks to cameras installed on site of the valley with the green where I live (at home he will return after the transmission from his daughter and partner every day) ».
Was she missing a program?
“I’ve done something else too. Above all, I lacked direct contact with the public. Chatting, being present, welcoming. I think it is important especially after the difficult period we have experienced. In fact, I did a lot of Instagram direct, because talking to the public is consoling for me and for other people too. I have been a friend for many years. The program has some new elements, there are no cooking competitions, it is my living room, where old friends or newly mets come to visit me, but also local relatives from various regions. It will clash on various topics, from food to current events ».
What new elements are there “Telephone games”. But isn’t it a little bit 80s?
“They said it but it is different, precisely because we are in an era where everything is immediate, I had the urge to bring back the kindness, to break down the arrogance that sometimes devours us, and we don’t have time to notice it, or vulgarity that is too often used for no reason. I brought back the games to have contact with the public, which cannot be in the studio. For this there will be winners in each episode who will be given a kitchen and a prize pool to rise ».
The scenography represents a wood but is there a brushstroke of its own?
«It is true it is very colorful, there is pink, peach … but it is a sign of hope after this dark period to look positively to tomorrow ».
