Antioquia: Reward Offered for Victims of Union Massacre

Four Found Dead in Antioquia‘s La Unión; $100 Million Reward⁢ Offered for ‍Facts

La ⁤Unión, Antioquia ⁣- Authorities are investigating the deaths of​ four⁣ individuals⁢ – three men and one​ woman – discovered in the rural area of La Unión, specifically in the‍ San Juan village, approximately 40 minutes⁤ from the town center.⁤ Identities of the victims remain unconfirmed as of this‌ reporting.

antioquia police have deployed units from the Criminal Investigation Section, supported by​ police intelligence and the Attorney General’s Office, to determine the circumstances surrounding the ⁣deaths and identify those responsible. An operational deployment has⁤ also been initiated to ensure​ the⁤ safety of local residents and prevent further violence.

Governor Andrés julián Rendón announced a $100 million peso reward for information leading to the capture of those‍ responsible. “We⁢ have ‍asked the authorities to initiate the ⁤operational and investigative ‌work to find the whereabouts of those responsible,” Rendón stated⁤ in​ a message posted on⁣ X (formerly twitter). “It is indeed ⁤presumed that these peopel came from the municipality⁣ of Bello.”

The National Police⁢ condemned the​ act, reiterating its ‍commitment to defending⁢ human rights, coexistence, and the tranquility of communities in eastern antioquia. Authorities are urging citizen collaboration to aid in the investigation and prevent similar incidents.
