The approximately 500,000 m² site on which the EXPO in Antalya took place in 2016 is to be converted into a huge film studio and wants to compete with Hollywood – with the production of a film by the well-known actor and director Guy Ritchie.
Discussions about what should become of the site had been going on for a long time, now a surprising prospect has been found. Guy Ritchie and his production team would like to start shooting their new film “Five Eyes” here in early February – with action star Jason Statham in the lead role.
After all the necessary permits have been obtained from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, filming will start soon. The actors and the team are expected to travel to Antalya in the next few days to start filming in the Aksu district. The studios have already been prepared and separated from the rest of the EXPO site by curtains – so nothing stands in the way of the film launch.
