Berlin The pharmacy industry is preparing for the market entry of internet giants such as Amazon and Alibaba in front. As Handelsblatt Inside learned, Germany’s largest pharmaceutical retailer Phoenix and the pharmacy’s own inventory management and accounting service provider Noventi have now launched the Gesund.de portal.
“We want – for the first time in Germany – to network all service providers in the health sector via an open platform and bundle them on a website,” says Noventi boss Hermann Sommer. The portal is intended to network consumers with pharmacies, doctors and other health care professionals as well as nursing services, medical supply stores and health insurance companies.
