A spokesperson for RTL confirms that they do everything they can to respect Anouk’s wishes. “Anouk will certainly be seen”, the spokesperson promises. “We are, however, investigating with her how she can give substance to coaching in a safe way.”
RTL and Anouk’s management let it be known that the consultation is going ‘smoothly’. The singer and the channel would consider installing a glass booth. That is very similar to how ‘virologist’ Ton Kas can currently be seen in the satirical program Summer promenade.

RTL confirms that this is one of the options, but that other things are also being considered. The voice of Holland is not the only program to consider how the corona measures can be complied with. “For most programs, this means less audience and that in principle only people from the same household are allowed to sit next to each other. This also applies to The Voice.”

When the corona virus was officially labeled a pandemic in March, Anouk was shocked. At that time she was in Morocco and could not return to the Netherlands. The singer was there to work on new music, but the four-day journey suddenly became very long.
‘I am in a mega-sized resort with a lot of rooms. I’m the only one left. Everything is closed, the restaurants, the gym, all public spaces are closed, ‘Anouk described it on her Instagram at the time.

The singer suffers from asthma and during her stay in Morocco, her ‘puffers’ ran out. Fortunately, colleague Ali B was able to help her out. This asthma makes Anouk a lot more careful when it comes to her health. She did not dare to take the risk of getting infected with the virus on the plane, which could have serious consequences, and she did not dare to take a private jet. “It’s not that easy, of course,” she said.

Eventually, Anouk managed to return to the Netherlands at the end of April, much to the surprise of her boyfriend and children. But once at home, she also decided to take the necessary precautions. This is how she kept her children at home from school.
She also went into self-quarantine again at the end of May. Because of this she missed the final of The Voice Kids. The coach was present via a video connection, which gave the final another dimension.
