The World Economic Forum (WEF) announced on the 3rd (local time) that it will change the schedule of its annual meeting, the Davos Forum, to Singapore on August 17-20 this year.

WEF has held a meeting every January in Davos, a ski resort in Switzerland. However, this year, it has been announced that it will open in Singapore on May 25-28 in the aftermath of a novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19). However, as Corona 19 continued, it was difficult to hold international events and decided to postpone it again.

Klaus Schwab, the founder of WEF, said, “We hope that the special meeting to be held in Singapore in August will be a place where businesses, governments and civil society can work together to discuss measures for global recovery.”
