The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) reported that the earthquake occurred at 6:57 am (05:57 Bulgarian time).

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 9.52 kilometers.

There are no reports of new major property damage in the area.

We recall that an earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale in the Goljaka region struck Duzce on Wednesday, causing at least 93 injuries.

More than 200 aftershocks were reported in the area during the week.

More than 8,000 buildings were partially damaged by the tremors, with many expected to be demolished for safety measures.

Thousands of citizens spent several nights in tent cities for fear of another strong earthquake.
