SV Meppen may face another compulsory Corona break. As the third division soccer team announced on Monday, an “employee” of the club tested positive for the virus last Friday.
The person not named shows no symptoms and has gone into quarantine at home, according to the message from the Emsländer. The responsible health department is now tracking the contacts. The further procedure depends on the results of the contact tracing.
The next SVM game is scheduled for Easter Sunday (1 p.m.) at Türkgücü Munich.
SVM team had to be quarantined in November
At the former second division club, 13 people were infected with Corona last November. Sometimes they complained of severe symptoms. The team then had to go into quarantine for two weeks. Three Meppen games were canceled during this period and were made up later. About two weeks ago there was also a suspected corona case in the run-up to the encounter at Waldhof Mannheim (1-0) in the Emsländer. However, this did not have any impact on gaming operations at the time.
