American actress Anne Heche (53) has been the victim of a serious accident, but her condition is said to be stable in the meantime.

Heche’s Mini Cooper first grazed a garage and then crashed into a house in the Mar Vista neighborhood in western Los Angeles. She was behind the wheel, according to witnesses, and was taken to a hospital with severe burns. Her condition is now stable.
The cause of the accident is not yet clear. The house itself has been declared uninhabitable. According to the local fire station, 59 firefighters were needed to extinguish the fire.
Heche starred in about fifty films – Donnie Brasco, Six days seven nights – and as many TV series, such as The Brave in Quantico.
