Anne and Anders Holch Povlsen became parents after the tragedy

Anders Holch Povlsen (48), general manager of the clothing giant Bestseller, and his wife Anne Holch Povlsen (43) experienced the nightmare of Easter 2019.

Six explosions in Sri Lanka, three aimed at churches and three at luxury hotels, were one of the most brutal terrorist attacks ever.

One of the explosions thus hit the hotel where the rich Danish family lived. Three of their children, Alma, Agnes and Alfred, died in the terrorist attack which took the lives of 321 people. Only the couple and daughter Astrid survived.

In March last year came the good news that Holch Povlsen had twins. Now happiness is smiling again, and the family has received a new grant in the form of a little boy.

– I can confirm that Anne and Anders have been under happy circumstances, and on Wednesday 29 September they became the parents of a well-built son. The family warmly welcomes their little son and are immensely grateful that he has come into the world, says Anders Holch Povlsen’s private secretary Sanne Møller to Danish BT.

According to Forbes magazine, Anders Holch Povlsen is Denmark’s richest man and worth around NOK 40 billion.
