She is considered one of the greatest talents in German athletics. Anna Gräfin Keyserlingk from SC Bayer 05 Uerdingen is in a class of her own in the U20 triple jump. Last year, the 18-year-old Husser qualified for the European U20 Championships in Tallinn (Estonia) with a personal best of 13.20 meters. It was also the norm for the U20 World Cup in Nairobi. However, this was canceled due to the corona pandemic.
Keyserlingk only made the triple jump in the U16s. “We started jumping through rings. My coach at the time saw that I was good at it,” the high school graduate recalls. In addition to the triple jump, she continued to do all-around. During the pandemic, however, the competitions became fewer and the focus shifted to triple jump. A divine providence, as we know today.

With her trainer Peter Quasten, Keyserlingk consistently works on the technique and landing in the triple jump. If you keep up the speed in the individual jumps, you can quickly jump much further. Keyserlingk knows that too. “It’s gotten a lot better indoors. In the evaluation that we get from the national coach, it is also at the top of the list. We’re working on that.” If she keeps up the pace in the summer, she certainly has the potential to jump towards 13.50 meters.
