Anna Dymna told about the unpleasant event in one of the interviews that “Super Express” wrote about. The actress was accosted by one of the passers-by.
Once, a young man accosted me in the street: Jesus! This is really your lady? Yesterday I watched “Janosik” and you looked different. How have you changed, how ugly you have become – she heard.
Man, how old are you? – I asked. “Twenty” – he replied, so I offered him: Then let’s talk in fifty, we’ll see what you will look like. But in these fifty years there will be no trace of me anymore.
When she was a guest in Kuba Wojewódzki’s program, she confessed that she no longer cares about external beauty. Her priority is to do good by helping others – for many years the actress has run the “Nevertheless” foundation, which was established to support people with intellectual disabilities.
Of course, aging is unpleasant, because a woman is, after all, an ornament of the world. And now we have a world where only external beauty is appreciated, as if it were a real human value. And external beauty is passing away, and I don’t even know how hard we would try, we are not able to overcome biology. You can perform plastic surgeries, suck out, cut, correct and subordinate everything to that. It’s a waste of time for me. I was lovely already. Now I am fighting for a different beauty.
Dymna also noticed how we are used to treating old age with a disrespectful attitude.
Sometimes I feel sorry to see the contempt of old age. This is slowly beginning to affect me, though a bit differently than anonymous women, more painfully.
Anna Dymna will be 70 on July 20.
