Anna Belkovska’s debut collection of poetry “Veranda” has been published

The editor of the book, the poetess Anna Auziņa, admitted: “In Anna Belkovska’s poetry, body and intimacy are permeated by wit and erudition, the images of nature and touching lyrics are surrounded by playfulness inspired by the world of art and theater. Along with contemporary ideas and images of world culture, Belkovska does not shy away from Latvia’s geography and family history. Clear and accurate text in a variety of formats; a strong, courageous and warm voice of the poet. ”

Anna Belkovska is a playwright and poet, a prose writer whose works have been published so far in the online magazines “Satori”, “Punctum Magazine”, as well as in the anthology of young poets “How to overcome an itch in the skull?” (2018, “Walter Fork”).

The editor of the collection of poetry is Anna Auziņa, the design of the book was created by the artist Anna Priede, while it was published by Valters Dakša with the financial support of the State Cultural Capital Foundation’s target program KultūrElpa.
