KAI Commuter will also raise the platform level at a number of stations. The project will start in 2023.
“Besides adding banks in several locations, this year KAI Commuter also plans to raise platforms at Lintas Serpong Station, Kebayoran Station, Cisauk Station, Kampung Bandan Station Platform 1, and Kampung Bandan Station Jambu Baru,” Leza said.
Currently the height of trolleys tends to be above platform level. The reason is that ballasts or railway blocks have also been added in many locations. As a result, the position of the train increases.
“The addition of ballast is also done to ensure the safety of the train’s journey and to ensure that the safe height limit between the railway line and the overhead power cable (LAA) is appropriate,” Leza said.
