Anif announces the technical migration of the national extension .ga

The National Agency for Digital Infrastructure and Frequencies (Aninf), has through a press release announced the complete management of the register and the .ga domain names.

In order to'” offer quality services obeying the reference rules of the profession of registry operator” and of“put an end to abusive practices, through the will and support of the Gabonese State, which have had a negative impact on the image of the country and its influence on the Internet », ANINF announces that from June 7, 2023, it will carry out a technical migration of the .ga domain name. To this end, it announces that this operation will cause disruption to .ga holders, but assures that ” all necessary measures » have been taken to promote continuity of service with the assistance of national authorities and international bodies in the sector.

For the smooth running of this operation, ANINF has been carrying out an accreditation campaign for several weeks with the registration offices to ensure “thefailover operation and management of the .ga zone according to the highest standards of quality of service and security”.says its Managing Director Aimé Martial Massamba. The latter, which invites customers and offices holding a .ga domain name to contact its services via the address www.mon.gain order to avoid any possible inconvenience after this operation.

let’s remember that,the national top-level domain name .ga was previously managed by the operator Freenom. The technical migration will therefore begin on June 7 andthis strategic decision by ANINF is in line with its mission to offer its users quality, reliable and secure services.
