In the process of renewing their technical command, given the resignation of Renato Gaúcho in the aftermath of the Libertadores Cup final, Flamengo will have considered choosing André Villas-Boas, This Tuesday, Globoesporte advanced.
The Brazilian website writes that the name of the former coach of FC Porto, Tottenham and Marseille, among others – without working since 2020 -, is on Mengão’s list, as is Jorge Jesus.
Despite being on Fla’s list, André Villas-Boas won’t be coach of the Brazilian club, O JOGO knows. The ex-Marseille coach’s short-term project involves coaching a national team, there being no question of returning to a club career.
