Andalusia adds 1,293 contagions of Covid-19 this Tuesday, which confirms that the community is stuck around that number of daily cases. This is almost the same number of positives reported yesterday -1,397-, or even a slight rise compared to the same day last week, when 1,011 were recorded.
The community corroborates this flat trend of the curve just the day the committee of experts meets to decide how the community advances in the de-escalation plan and what measures and restrictions will apply in the coming days to control the pandemic. And just the day when Andalusia should already be in phase 2 of that plan, a fact that has been delayed in view of the data from the health crisis.
Tuesdays are not usually a good day to take the pulse of the pandemic. It is a day when, together with Monday, it usually returns the data highest number of infections and deaths. But is that this Tuesday that number is higher than the rest of Tuesday of this month. In fact, you have to go back to April 26 to see a Tuesday with figures as high as today.
The deceased have also risen. There are 13 this Tuesday, a figure that although it is one of the lowest in weeks, it does mean breaking the streak that Andalusia dragged for two weeks without exceeding ten deaths per day. Once again, Tuesdays are usually of a rise in this value, but last Tuesday less than half were reported – six -.
Incidence, on the rise
The incidence rate, likewise, continues to rise. From 173.1 cases per one hundred thousand inhabitants to two weeks it has risen today to 176.6. This meter of the pandemic has been growing continuously since last week and is increasingly moving away from the 150 points that the Andalusian Government wanted to achieve at this time.
At one week, this value does not improve either. This Tuesday marks 85.7 cases per one hundred thousand inhabitants to seven days and yesterday it was 83.3. As in the case of two weeks, this meter has already been growing for a week.
There is also worse data on the number of hospitalized. They are 855 this Tuesday, 39 more than yesterday Monday. The same happens in the ICU, which goes from 203 to 207 admitted by Covid-19.
