EThe Indian cricket team had elevated the country to a historic victory in the India-Australia Test series. Mahindra & Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra has presented a huge gift to the team members who are full of congratulations.
He has announced that Mahindra’s latest SUV, the Thar, will be presented to six players who worked for the success of the Indian team. He shared the good news on Mahindra’s official Twitter.
Mahindra has announced the award to teammates Mohammad Siraj, T Natarajan, Shardul Thakur, Washington Sunder, Shubman Gill and Navdeep Seini, who have been India’s mainstay in the India-Australia series. Anand Mahindra says the gift is meant to inspire young people.
Mahindra’s new generation Thar is a super hit vehicle on Indian roads. Available in two variants, AX and LX, the Thar is priced between Rs 12.10 lakh and Rs 14.15 lakh ex-showroom. Thar has hit the streets in hard top and soft top options.
The Thor is powered by a 2.0-liter Emstalin petrol and a 2.2-liter Emhoc diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 150 bhp and 320 Nm of torque while the diesel engine produces 130 bhp and 300 Nm of torque. The LX variant comes with a six-speed automatic transmission along with a manual transmission.
