An iPhone sold for a good 27 million forints

The iPhone X, in which an enthusiastic student built a USB-C port, was sold for more than 27 million forints.

Robotics student Ken Pillonel has done a great job, but he has built a USB-C port into an Apple iPhone X to replace the Lightning connector. Although the prototype works, it is not suitable for daily use. That’s why Pillonel put it on eBay and put it up for auction.

Finally, 116 offers were received for the device, the winner and the bid was $ 86,001, or more than 27 million forints. There were higher but withdrawn bids, along with a fake $ 1 million bid.

The winning bidder has indeed acquired a very unique iPhone, however, the device should not be reseted, updated or deleted, nor should it be captured for daily use. By the way, hardware poke is not a good idea either, although there is no warranty for this piece for a long time.
