Inter Milan entering the last week A league by two points behind AC Milan. Lautaro Martinez reveal a defeat that he regretted so much.
Milan, who played first on Sunday (15/5/2022) night WIB, won full points by beating Atalanta. Playing at the San Siro, the Rossoneri won 2-0.
Inter then responded with a win over Cagliari. In the match at the Sardegna Arena, Monday (16/5/2022) early morning WIB, Lautaro Martinez et al. won with a score of 3-1.
These results make the Scudetto will be determined in the last week. AC Milan lead Italian League standings with 83 points, followed by Inter with 81 points.
“It was a difficult match, because Cagliari also had a lot at stake, but we had to win and I’m happy we did it,” Lautaro told reporters. DAZN as reported Football Italia.
“Now we have to win the last game and hope for the best. We still have a chance to win the Scudetto and because of that we believe.”
Because winning head-to-head, Milan only need one point at the headquarters of Sasssuolo to seal the title. While Inter will only win if they win over Sampdoria and Milan lose.
When asked about his regrets this season, Lautaro Martinez did not choose a 1-2 defeat to Milan. The Argentine striker regretted the defeat at Bologna headquarters at the end of April.
“Unfortunately, we lost a very important point against Bologna. If I had the chance to repeat a game then that would be my choice, it’s a shame,” said Lautaro Martinez.
Inter Milan lost 1-2 to Bologna in a match that was postponed due to the COVID-19 storm. In that match, Inter goalkeeper Ionut Radu made a fatal blunder which led to Bologna’s winning goal.
