An initiative committee nominates Prof. Anastas Gerdjikov as president, GERB will support him

GERB will support the rector of Sofia University, Prof. Anastas Gerdjikov, for president on November 14th.

This information was confirmed by sources from Boyko Borissov’s party to “24 Chasa”.

However, Gerdjikov will be officially nominated by an Initiative Committee, in which other parties will also participate. Rumen Radev also chose such a mechanism for his candidacy.

“24 Chasa” asked Prof. Gerdjikov for comment, but he has not yet answered phone calls.

According to GERB sources, the party has three more potential candidates and the final choice will be made in the coming days.
