An experiment using lasers reveals how the Coronavirus passes from the speaker’s mouth to others

An experiment revealed how droplets from the mouth spray during speaking could spread in the air, possibly transmitting a virus like Covid-19, unless the speaker wore a muzzle, as scientists devised a way to visualize the threat posed without a muzzle by creating a sheet of laser light Green inside a box, and the researchers were able to light the spit drops as they came out of the speaker’s mouth, who was speaking directly in the box.-

According to the British newspaper “Daily Mail”, the experiment was conducted at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, USA, as a large number of mouth drops exiting the speaker’s mouth appear in the brighter flashes.

As the speaker increases the volume of his speech, the amount of spit sprinkled, or the droplets produced, increases, and then the test is performed again with a mask over the mouth.

This time, drops of spitting orally illuminated by light paper do not appear, indicating that the risk of infection for any close person will be greatly reduced.

Smaller aerosol droplets, such as those produced when speaking, can dry and form droplet nuclei, remaining airborne for longer than larger droplets produced during coughing, which quickly fall to the ground.

This increases the possibility of the drops reaching another individual, causing infection if they contain virus particles.

The study researchers concluded that: “Repeating the same phrase three times, with short pauses between phrases, produced a similar pattern of generated particle, with peak flashes of up to 347 with the loudest and low 227 when it decreased slightly during the three experiments.”

“Even quiet speech or quieter breathing can generate smaller drops that are able to carry the virus,” said Dr. Harvey Feinberg, who heads the Emerging Infectious Diseases Committee. “What we do not know is the exact proportion of the virus that transmits and infects others the size of droplets.”

While the WHO advises against wearing masks for general use saying “If you are in good health, you only need to wear a mask if you are looking after someone with COVID-19”.

There is a stark contrast to that from the American Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which urges all Americans to wear masks to protect them, and experience proves that muzzle is very important for prevention.
