On Twitter Jiří Pospíšil, Chairman of the Board of the Jan and Meda Mládek Foundation – Kampa Museum, also commented. “I condemn this crazy vandalism. Unfortunately, it turns out that some people have nothing sacred. To embarrass the memory of the victims of communist totalitarianism in this way is completely incomprehensible to me, “said Pospíšil.

Police spokeswoman Hana Křížová told ČTK that four boards had been destroyed. According to her, the museum has preliminarily calculated the damage at 10,000 to 20,000 crowns. According to Křížová, the police have not yet detained anyone. Police have investigated the scene and will now study camera systems and look for witnesses.

The exhibition, which commemorates the life of politician Milada Horáková and the staged trial of her and other convicts, was ceremoniously opened at Kampa on 27 June. The ten panels contain period photographs and historical documents on the rehabilitation of a politician from 1989.

Horáková was hanged 70 years ago, on June 27, 1950. She was the only woman to be executed by the communist judiciary for political reasons.
