One of the most emblematic footballers and coaches in Marek Dimitar Kukov’s history has died at the age of 87. The tragic news was announced by the management of the Dupnish club.

“We are deeply saddened to lose one of the greatest figures in the entire history of our club and football in Dupnica. We express our condolences to the family and relatives of Dimitar Kukov. May God forgive him!” Marek’s direction announced.
Dimitar Kukov will be remembered as one of the Dupnicany footballers with the most matches for the team in group ‘A’ – 215. He was also Marek’s senior coach.
Together with Yanko Dinkov, he is one of the greatest successes in Marek’s history. As assistant coach he won the Soviet Army Cup, bronze medal of the championship, contributing to the unforgettable 2-0 victory over Bayern.
For many years he also led the youth formations of Marek, discoverer of many talents who then played in the men’s team.
