An electrical incident interrupts the RER A between Cergy and Nanterre

Strong disturbances on the whole of the RER A. A break in the electricity supply causes a cut between Cergy-le-Haut / Poissy and Nanterre-Préfecture at least until 4 p.m.

No train on the busiest line in Europe since the start of the service between Cergy-le-Haut / Poissy and Nanterre-Préfecture. In question, “an electrical supply fault in Sartrouville”, specifies the twitter account of the RER A.

This incident has repercussions on the entire line, which is highly disrupted. Shuttles between the two stations have been set up.

First announced for 9:30 a.m. then for 12 p.m., the resumption will not take place before 4 p.m.

Giant breakdown on the RER B

This incident comes two days after a giant blackout on line B (the second busiest in Europe). “Cables were damaged during a construction incident that occurred this morning around 9am in the town of Aubervilliers as part of modernization work on the RER B”, indicated Monday SNCF Réseau.

A SNCF Réseau service provider had damaged signaling and telecommunications cables as part of the work currently being carried out for “cut the network” and create isolated catenary sections so that an incident does not spread down the line, the company said.
